IN 1970, THE FOUNDATION CONDUCTED THE FIRST TEACHER CONSERVATION WORKSHOP.

Through a combination of classroom instruction from the state’s leading natural resource experts, field trips and hands-on activities, teachers learn how Alabama’s forests are managed and how they are sustainably utilized. Approved by the Alabama Department of Education as an AMSTI Affiliate Program, the workshop provides educators with knowledge and tools to take back to the classroom.
