About Whit Carroll
As Education Manager for Alabama Forestry Foundation, Whit Carroll leads the Foundation’s Schoolyard Forest Program and works with schools across Alabama to create outdoor learning spaces that connect students with the state’s forests and natural resources. He collaborates with educators, community partners, and volunteers to develop hands-on learning experiences that inspire environmental stewardship and foster meaningful connections to the outdoors.
Whit earned a bachelor’s degree in biology from the University of Alabama and a master’s degree in environmental management from the University of Arizona Global Campus. He is passionate about helping students and educators discover the environmental, economic, and community benefits of Alabama’s forests through engaging outdoor education.
